Bio – Cindy
As Minister of Faith Formation, Cindy seeks to serve Advent families in raising children who will be life-long seekers and learners in the faith. She also works with the Adult Faith Formation Team as they plan and put into place opportunities for adults to connect with God, the church and one another.
Cindy graduated from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in 1995 with a Master’s Degree in Religious Leadership. She was consecrated as a Diaconal Minister that same year. In 1998, she was ordained as Permanent Deacon. An Ordained Deacon is a person who serves Christ and the Church often in a specialized ministry focus area. Cindy’s passion is sharing faith building with children and helping adults find a way to connect faith and life. Cindy also serves as a camp dean for a Conference Adventure Day Camp, active with the Minnesota Chapter of the Christian Educators Fellowship, and is Faith Formation Action Team Leader providing her with an opportunity to participate in annual conference ministry activities.
Cindy and her husband, Bob, have three grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time at home experimenting with new decorating schemes.
